Cruisin' Grand
 DBA ANNOUNCES THE 2009 CRUISIN' GRAND POSTER CONTEST
- Winning entry receives check for $500!
- Entries will be accepted between the dates of November 15, 2008 and January 5, 2009.
- Winner will be announced on January 15, 2009.
Goal is to choose the best original artwork as the official design for the 2009 Cruisin' Grand poster, event T-shirts, and other marketing pieces.
2008 Recap – What a Year It Was!
Downtown Escondido rumbled with Twenty-Six Friday Nights of High Octane Classic Car Nostalgia
- Kicked off the season with the awesome Willys Owners Group, continued with over 34 classic car clubs reserving areas and ended with 6-weeks of classics only on Grand bringing in 300-450 classic cars per night!
- AFX Car Night, Fire Truck Night, and Nitro Night continued to amaze and pump up spectators and long-time classic car owners.
– 130 Classic Car Awards presented
– 14 Nitro Burner Awards presented
- Kragen Auto Parts, Title Sponsor of 2008 Cruisin' Grand, entertained each week with free gifts, T-shirts, and items from their many stores, plus raised major funds for the Boys & Girls Club.
- Live bands at Maple covered the hits of the 60s and 70s and got multi-generations dancing in the streets.
Average Attendance per season = 200,000
- Average Attendees/night: 5,000 – 8,000
- Fire Truck Night, AFX Night, Nitro Night: 10,000 – 15,000 each

- Fire Truck Night already set for September 11
- Cruisin' Grand – A classic, family-oriented Rod Run at the junction of old Highway 395 and Grand Avenue, will be held every Friday through September from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 1973 and older American-made or American-powered Hot Rods, Customs, Vintage, Muscles and Classics cars and trucks will cruise and park along Grand and side streets. Restaurants and specialty shops will be open.
Classic Car Owners
There is no pre-registration required and no areas designated for different models. Owners of 1973 and older American-made or American-powered Hot Rods, Customs, Vintage, Muscles and Classics cars and trucks just bring your vehicle and find a spot to park on Grand. If your car is selected as a winner, the judges will contact you (at your vehicle) between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and give you a Winner's Card that will allow you to drive your car back to the Winner's Area for the awards.
